Tractor World 2010

The year of the clubs resulted in some fantastic club displays at Tractor World, held at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern on 6th and 7th March 2010. Ferguson Heritage, Ford and Fordson Association and the Nuffield and Leyland tractor club all put on impressive displays. As a member of the North Worcestershire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club, I was delighted to see the North Worcestershire club stand win 1st prize. So much effort had been made by Pauline Snape and her team to produce the 1940’s harvest themed stand, which included 2 Fordson standard N’s.
A good selection of tractors was to be seen, including rarer tractors from manufacturers such as Austin and Huber. It was brilliant to see so many tractors from many periods, tractors from the pre 1920’s, vintage tractors from 50’s and 60’s through to a selection of classic tractors. Classic tractors such as tractors from the Ford TW series are growing in popularity, because these tractors are the ones the younger generation of tractor enthusiasts have grown up with, and remember seeing hard at work in the field. The TW series tractors are becoming regular visitors at shows like Tractor World, alongside the classic Ford series.
An immaculate collection of Roadless tractors were on display, courtesy of Mr. G. Yarwood, this magnificient collection of tractors is always popular and it is often hard to photograph the whole collection together.
The Ferguson rebuild challenge was as popular as ever, various teams competed against one another to rebuild the Ferguson tractor in the quickest time.
I am already looking forward to next years show, Tractor World is a show that has so much on offer. Tractor World is a show I would definitely recommend visiting.
