Vintage Start to the New Year.
On 1st January 2009, The North Worcestershire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club held its annual New Year’s Day vintage road run. Approximately 65 vehicles assembled at SE Davis & Son yard at Astwood Bank, Redditch. The convoy mainly consisted of vintage tractors but commercials and cars were also present. Paul Davis led the 19 mile run which mainly consisted of the picturesque Worcestershire country lanes, apart from a short stretch of main road that led us onto our half way stop at the Moat House Inn at Alcester for refreshments. Despite the freezing temperatures many local people gathered by the roadside to wave the tractors by.
